Audit managers also have a responsibility for extensive client contact, staff training and liaising with third parties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues;
- Performs reviews of audit work;
- Reviews of financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and preparation of reports and opinions to management;
- Summarises the key areas of the engagement for the partner;
- Ensures completion of each assignment to a high quality standard, within budget and on or before deadlines;
- Conducting various audit engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members per audit;
- Together with partner negotiates fees and demonstrates commercial responsibility for profitability of each client;
- Contributes to meetings and is able to make effective presentations to staff and clients;
- Assisting with management and co-ordination of the audit team including training, mentoring and methodology compliance;
- Monitors staffing requirements and future resource planning issues; and
- Assists partners in business development and marketing activities.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Essential
- Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major
- Completed CA or equivalent
DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:
Essential
- 5-7 years’ experience audit experience
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong prioritising skills
- Demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Detailed working knowledge and application of Corporations Act, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards and other applicable legislation
