What’s on offer?

We have an exciting new opportunity for Safety Cadet to join our Tasmanian Safety team based in Hobart. Working with all levels of management, you will be exposed to a wide range of Safety functions, including: HSE Policies, Compliance Training Requirements, Incident Investigations, Workplace Auditing, and real world exposure to Australian safety standards and legislation. This will provide you with a unique range of learning and development opportunities that will help you to see the big-picture behind the numbers and understand how we build and manage critical infrastructure that connects communities and helps us to shape a better world. Day to day you will be responsible for:

  • Providing assistance with on-boarding & induction of new site employees;
  • Overseeing and monitoring data input in Salesforce to ensure compliance with Tasmania’s processes;
  • Verification of competencies (VOC’s) to ensure all employees have completed relevant inductions and tickets prior to site access;
  • Effectively maintain all project safety registers and files as required;
  • Assist with preparation of safety documentation and signage;
  • Provide administrative support to the safety team with SEQ functions on site as required.

How you’ll connect to the role:

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills;
  • A high degree of enthusiasm and drive, with a strong desire to deliver positive outcomes as part of team;
  • A practical mindset, with a hands-on approach to getting things done;
  • Experience in Excel & ability to pick up new systems with ease.

This role is suitable for someone who is wanting to start their career journey in a safety position at Fulton Hogan. In return we will support you by offering enrolment for you to complete a Certificate III in Work, Health & Safety.
