About the Role

Our Berkeley Vale Site is the home of all Sanitarium Beverages. With eight operational lines, our Beverages Team is one of the largest Sanitarium production teams. In this team, you will find a diversity of skilled operators, whose responsibilities range from manufacturing the liquid product to packaging the final result.

We are currently searching for three new Machine Operators to join our Beverages Team. We currently have two full-time positions (one on afternoon shift and one on night shift) and one casual night shift position available. These positions operate permanently on their select shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate manufacturing equipment and ensure lines are running smoothly.
  • Moving of materials, receiving goods and housekeeping.
  • Basic trouble shooting and machine maintenance where required.

Hours and Loadings

Afternoon Shift operates 3pm-11pm Monday - Thursday and 10am-4pm on a Friday and attracts a 15% shift loading. Night shift operates 1am-7am Monday morning and 11pm-7am Monday night to Thursday night. Night Shift attracts a 30% shift loading. Our casual staff attract a 25% casual loading to be paid in addition to any shift allowances (both calculated separately off the base rate).

About You

  • Experience in Food Manufacturing or FMCG is desirable.
  • Basic Computer Skills are required.
  • Fit, healthy and able to perform labour intensive work for prolonged periods.
  • Awareness and commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Ability to stay focused in routine work and use initiative.
  • Forklift License is essential for the full-time afternoon shift position only. It is not a requirement for the available night shift positions.
