Electrical Document Writer

About The Role

Are you ready to take control of your career? We're currently seeking a Technical Writer to join our team.

A background as an electrician or electrical engineer having worked with electrical plant, combined with your proficiency in developing, writing and managing technical documentation, will be crucial.  

This is an initial 6-month contract with the probability of extension, on a 5:2, M-F roster but there is possibility for FWA. This role is either a Residential or DIDO role based in/from the Bunbury region, Western Australia. The site is approx 2 hours from Perth and accommodation, meal and fuel allowances will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and update engineering standards and specifications in line with Australian Standards.
• Develop and standardize electrical procedures, processes, and templates.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for documentation.
• Ensure all documentation complies with Australian Standards and electrical legislation.
• Manage document storage, both physical and digital, ensuring confidentiality and proper lifecycle management.

• Hourly rate between $80 - $90 + superannuation, depending on experience and skill set, paid weekly.

About You

To be successful you will need experience in the following:

• Experience as a Document/Technical Writer preferably with mining industry experience.
• Electrical Engineering Degree or Electrical Trade qualification and experience with electrical plant
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft Word.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• High standard of presentation and attention to detail.
• You must have Australian Working Rights for this role.
