Draftsperson - Residential

Newly created opportunity for an experienced Draftsperson to join a successful independent home builder. Work with the drafting manager to produce accurate drawings of single storey homes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop precise and detailed plans integrating house placements, floor plans, elevations, internal drawings, and slab layouts.
• Proactively address challenges related to visual, construction, or design constraints, responding promptly to critical needs identified by the Workflow team.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as sales, estimators, colour selection consultants, and client liaison teams.
• Effectively communicate to resolve technical or design issues as and when required
• Conduct thorough checks on all drawings before issuance to ensure compliance with project standards, covenants, and company protocols.
• Maintain accurate systems and data records reflecting the progress of each project.

Experience:

• Minimum Certificate IV in Residential Drafting (or equivalent/higher qualification).
• Experience as a draftsperson for a residential home builder, preferably in Perth, WA.
• Proficient in NCC, relevant Australian standards, and local authority requirements including BCA, R-Codes, R-MD Codes, and Developer guidelines.
• Ability to interpret LDPs, Planning policies, Structure Plans, and Developer guidelines.
• Strong practical knowledge of Archi-Cad.
• Excellent attention to detail and proven communication skills.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Full Australian work rights required.
