Are you an experienced Local HR Driver looking for stability and the chance to be home every night? We’ve got the perfect opportunity for you at GKR Transport

Due to continued growth, we're looking for a reliable HR Driver to join our Welshpool team. You’ll be handling local pickups and deliveries, driving a modern automatic, flatbed truck with gates. If you have at least 2 years of experience in general or "ugly freight", experience securing unconventional loads with multiple restraint types and hold an automatic licence, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Must hold an automatic HR Licence
  • Minimum 2 years of flatbed driving experience with general or “ugly” freight
  • Sound knowledge of securing loads with tarps and multiple load restraints including straps, dog & chains and binders.
  • Knowledge of the Perth Metropolitan area.
  • A forklift license is preferred but not essential.
  • Willing to provide a clean driving record.
  • Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical examination, police check and provide 1recent work reference who will be contacted.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Operate flatbed trucks, ensuring proper use of gates, tarps, and load restraint equipment.
  • Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods to designated locations.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety and professional presentation.
  • Perform pre-start and end-of-day maintenance checks on vehicles.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
