Job Description

SGS is seeking a full-time generalist HR Advisor for a 12-month parental leave cover with the possibility to extend. This role will be primary working from home, with sporadic days in the office located in Notting Hill. 

Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you will enjoy a true generalist position including but certainly not limited to the below:

  • Provide full end to end HR generalist advice, with a passion for stakeholder engagement.
  • Support managers and employees on a variety of ER issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and grievances, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes in line with company policies and relevant legislation.
  • Work within a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • HR policy review and development to reflect best practices and legislative requirements.
  • Assist with the delivery of training and workshops to managers and employees on relevant HR policies, procedures, and legislative changes.
  • Lead and support HR projects throughout the year aimed at improving processes, enhancing employee experience, and driving organizational effectiveness.
  • Manage reporting and compliance activities with precision and expertise.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, or related field.
  • 3-5 years demonstrated experience in a similar HR advisory role with a strong focus on ER and IR.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial awards, and Fair Work regulations.
  • Previous Workday experience highly desirable
  • Proven ability to effectively manage employee relations issues and resolve conflicts in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Enjoys working as part of a team environment that values collaboration.
