About the role
Mater Private Hospital Mackay has a number of positions available for experienced Registered Nurses within a range of wards including Surgical, Medical, Emergency Care, Oncology/Palliative Care, High Dependency Unit and Paediatrics. These positions can be offered as permanent full-time or part-time or casual.
Mater Private Hospital Mackay has been providing excellence in clinical and pastoral care to the people of Mackay and its surrounds since 1927.Located on the northern bank of the Pioneer River since 2003, our hospital is a modern 105-bed facility featuring five operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a wide range of specialist clinical services.

Salary range: $36.44 - $49.04 per hour (RN Level 1) plus super (plus casual loading if applicable) plus access to generous salary packaging
What you'll be doing
The Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient management of care within the scope of practice and professional guidelines that include, but may not be limited to: legislation, regulations, standards, codes, qualifications, registration and clinical competencies.
Registered Nurses provide evidence-based and contemporary patient-centred clinical care in collaboration with other multidisciplinary healthcare team members. Care delivery extends to patient advocacy with particular consideration to patients' physical, emotional and spiritual needs that contribute to optimal clinical outcomes.

To be successful in this position, you will have the following:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Division 1 (Registered Nurse) with no practice restrictions
- Digital and computer proficiency, extending to Microsoft 365 applications
- Complete vaccination against COVID-19 and the ability to provide appropriate evidence as prescribed by Services Australia before commencement;
- Minimum of one-year post graduate experience
- Australian Citizenship, permanent residency, a current work Visa with no restrictions or an applicable ANMAC occupational code if seeking Visa sponsorship
