Job Description

SGS is seeking a skilled High Voltage Techniian to join our team. This full-time, permanent position based in Malaga, WA, involves the specialized commissioning, installation, testing, and condition monitoring of high voltage systems. The successful candidate will execute these tasks efficiently, adhering to SGS and external customer directives, specifications, standards, and procedures where applicable.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Perform substation/switchboard upgrades and substation maintenance.
  • Complete High Voltage conditioning monitoring.
  • Trouble shooting of Electrical Asset and High Voltage installation.
  • Complete tasks in accordance with all associated statutory regulations and standards.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you need proven experience in the following areas:

  • Electrical A grade License.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the High Voltage industry.
  • Current WA Drivers License.
  • High Voltage testing of transformers, cables and Circuit Breakers.
  • Panel wiring, fault find and repair, and installation.
  • Testing of High Voltage Personal Professional Equipment (PPE).
  • Meter calibration testing and certification.
  • Earth electrode and grid testing.
  • Thermography and Corona inspection testing.
