Library Business Support Assistant

About the role

Council library services are delivered to a network of 7 Libraries and are open across a wide spread of hours including 7 day operation at some sites. 

This role will manage the safe and efficient transportation of library materials between branches, assist with the home library service delivery and council items to other selected Council facilities. This position also provide support to the library network performing a range of Library duties as required, including support to Library’s programming teams.

About You

The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience within a customer service environment and at least 2 years safe driving experience.

  • Demonstrated customer service, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties related to courier deliveries including physical ability to conduct all required tasks.
  • Demonstrated verbal communication, literacy & numeracy skills.
  • Flexible, innovative, and adaptable to changing circumstances.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and willingness to assist with information technology and trouble shooting ability.

The successful applicant will require: 

  • HSC Certificate
  • Current First-Aid Certificate
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Working with Children Check.

What’s on offer

This is a permanent part time position of 25hrs per week, Monday to Friday.

We are offering an attractive remuneration from $ 63,891 to $ 70,336 (pro rata) plus 11% superannuation.
