Description

A veteran who served in the Vietnam War and was in the Battle of Coral/Balmoral receiving a medal for Gallantry is still recovering from Tropical Cyclone Seroja that hit in 2021. With chronic health issues, he is often hospitalised, and seriously struggles with some day-to-day tasks.

With his home being severely impacted mixed in with his health and financial battles, he is still facing the aftermath of the cyclone and trying to recover. Building plans have been drawn and permits have been received to go ahead with the building phase. If you have any previous building, carpentry or roofing experience or are currently in the trade and can help out for a few days, please reach out. Having the roof rebuilt will mean that our veteran won’t need to sleep under a leaking ceiling and he will be able to stay warm this winter.
