The Opportunity

Our full name is Indooroopilly Shopping Centre but our friends call us INDRO This is your chance to join a dynamic team as Assistant Centre Manager. You will lead and influence the Centre team, to drive the overall centre results. In partnership with the Centre General Manager, you will coach, mentor and develop the team to ensure continuous improvement, maximise centre financial performance, operational efficiency, and brand awareness.

You will make an impact by:

  • In conjunction with the Centre General Manager lead the Centre team in line with the Dexus Leadership Charter to ensure the needs of Customers, Retail Partners and Investors are met.
  • Ensure the centre maintains a high presentation standard for all customer touch points, this includes retailer presentation, casual leasing, and any common area activations.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Centre Business Plan in conjunction with Leasing, Operations and Marketing disciplines.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets for income and expenditure using a zero-based approach in conjunction with the Finance Manager and Operations Manager.
  • Review and endorse financial reports in conjunction with the Finance manager and review the monthly Owners report and any ad hoc reports and presentations.
  • Review and approve the rent roll, extended trade and ad hoc billings ensuring accuracy and compliance to the lease.
  • Lead the Administration team and ensure the property management system (Yardi) and relevant databases and schedules are maintained, accurate and compliant to policies and procedure in conjunction with the head office support team.
  • Be accountable for retailer debt management in line with established benchmarks and KPI’s in conjunction with the Retail Manager.

About You

You are a confident, commercial and relationship focused Assistant Centre Manager, with a flair for financials and strong attention to detail. You work best in a harmonious and high performing environment, where people work together to deliver. You will bring:

  • Experience with a retail property management company, preferably as an Assistant Centre Manager or management role with a national retailer.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation including Retail Leases Act, OH&S Legislation, etc.
  • Strong business acumen, financial and accounting skills.
  • Experience using Yardi is an advantage, however, is not necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative and assume full responsibility of completion of tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Leadership & ability to develop a high-functioning team.
