The Opportunity

Multiple FIFO Boilermaker positions are available for ongoing casual work 13:8 roster, at a reputable mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria. Scope of work will be in structural remediation and maintenance. Day hourly rate of $55ph flat on 12-hour shifts, 10% loading applies on any required ADHOC night shifts. Workers will be employed on a temp casual basis.

Our Ideal Candidate

Demonstrated experience as a Boilermaker in a similar working environment with a safety-first mentality. The successful candidate must reside in Darwin or Cairns or be willing to fund their own travel to the fly out destination.

Key Competencies:

  • Pass weld tests on site - FCAW and MMAW (3F, 3G, 4F, 4G)
  • Experience working in heavy industrial, construction or mining environments (structural steel experience highly regarded)
  • Trade qualification
  • High Risk Work Licence - EWP (LF and CN added advantage)
  • Current Driver's Licence (HR Licence added advantage)
  • Working at Heights
  • Confined Space Entry

Start Date: 09/07 or 16/07, ongoing rostered role 13:8.
