An exciting new opportunity is available for an Environmental Scientist or Environmental Planer to join our Planning and Environmental Approvals team based in Brisbane. 

With a strong pipeline of work in the renewable energy, energy storage, water, defence and transport sectors our Queensland team is expanding. The team is part of a national planning and environmental approvals practice, enabling you to work on projects across Australia with our 250 strong Environmental Solutions business.  

The role:

You will work alongside highly experienced professionals that will support you to grow and develop professionally. You will:

  • Work with clients throughout project planning phase in the preparation of environmental constraints reports, scoping documents, environmental impact assessments and statutory planning submissions.
  • Support the scoping and management of environmental studies and surveys.
  • Prepare high quality planning and environmental approvals documentation and environmental management plans.
  • Have access to career development framework to guide your career growth.

Here’s what you’ll need:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to work across a diverse suite of projects across multiple industry sectors. In this role you will develop your consulting, writing, project management and technical skills through delivering a range of environmental consulting projects. You will have:

  • A degree/post graduate qualification in environmental science, environmental planning or related discipline.
  • Consulting experience in environmental impact assessment, environmental planning or environmental management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Queensland and Commonwealth legislation.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with strong motivation and ability to work self-directed.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Interest and aptitude in working across multiple disciplines and sectors.
