We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Automation Engineer to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to provide expert support to our customer site, ensuring the maintenance, programming, and development of electrical and automation assets.

As an Electrical Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and improvement of all electrical, automation, instrumentation, and ancillary control equipment. This role requires a strong commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to foster successful customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

Provide a reliability and improvement focus for all electrical, automation, instrumentation, and ancillary control equipment.

Implement programming and software modifications and manage associated processes.

Support the implementation of relevant electrical and automation projects and improvements.

Identify automation, electrical, instrumentation, and control reliability issues and drive initiatives for effective solutions.

Complete assigned corrective and preventative maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance

Drive Site Engineering standards and best practices.

Contribute to E&A shutdown management and associated planning.

Execute assigned shutdown work activities efficiently and effectively.

Maintain successful customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and support.

Mentor trades and team members to enhance skills and knowledge within the team.

Provide effective cross-functional area support to ensure smooth operations.

Participate in the On-Call System to provide support as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in maintenance, programming, and development of electrical and automation assets.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, automation technologies, and instrumentation.

Proficiency in programming languages and software relevant to automation systems (e.g., PLCs, SCADA, HMI).

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.

Willingness to engage in ongoing learning and professional development.
