Role Overview

Working within our Workshop and Fabrication teams, our Trades Assistant position will enable opportunity for growth, experience and advancement.

This full time position is best suited for an employee who will be committed, willing to learn and follow directions and has a general interest in the fitting / boilermaking industry.

Opportunity to progress into an apprenticeship for the right candidate is possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembly of pump and pipework systems
  • Cutting / threading of pipe
  • Delivery and / or collection of parts and equipment
  • Collaborate with the team to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
  • Recording of information, photographs and other documentation relevant to the job

Eligibility

  • Basic fitting / welding skills and hand tool experience
  • Mechanical knowledge / aptitude
  • Current manual Drivers Licence
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, manuals and parts information
  • Adhere to and support continual improvement to safety, quality and company culture
  • Be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol

Desirable, but not essential

  • Forklift Licence
  • HR Truck Licence
