About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS Eating Disorders Service as a Clinical Nurse where you will be responsible for:
Delivering direct child and adolescent mental health eating disorders care to consumers with complex needs. The provision of assessment, education, counselling and group work. The provision of health education, physical health monitoring, therapeutic interventions, such as, Family Based Treatment, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve mental health/eating disorder outcomes. Working collaboratively with consumers in the development of individual care/treatment plans using a recovery framework. Promote access and equity of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and their families. Role is based in North Adelaide but will travel to our Elizabeth site 1-2 days per week.About You
Registered or eligible for registration as a nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice. Demonstrated ability to relate to people from a diverse range of cultural and social backgrounds. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive mental health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships across disciplines. Demonstrated ability to conduct mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions of a complex nature with children, adolescents with eating disorders and /OR emotional and behavioural difficulties, Knowledge of the mental and physical impact of eating disorders on the individual and the family unit.What WCHN Can Offer You
