Role Overview

UMENCO is recruiting with the opportunity to join a revered boutique bridal brand in the role of Production Assistant.

This role will be responsible for coordinating and organising the workroom flow in the bridal atelier; allocating cut work to machinists; updating the PJB order tracker to record the status of gowns at each stage of production, and assisting in the creation and management of spec sheets for each style.

The Production Assistant will also attend range/fabric/trims handovers with the Design team; will ensure machinists are up to date with all quality control issues; will measure and check garment measurement specifications against client specs, and will assess all garments for quality control of product against the approved prototype.

They will ensure sewing supplies are sufficient and order when required, assist with production scheduling; create production orders in Uphance; monitor and order labels/swing tags/ disclaimer tags /tissue paper/PJB stickers used for orders and packing, and will provide general admin support across the department including data entry, filing, and archiving.

The successful Production Assistant will be the main contact point for logistics contacts; will assist in maintaining and updating Excel spreadsheets during the sample development; and will manage manufacturer invoices, following up and forwarding invoices to the accounts department.

The talent we seek will be an experienced production coordinator with experience working with local manufacturers in Australia and abroad. They will hold advanced systems skills across AP21, excel, and reporting, and possess sound garment technical knowledge.

Our ideal talent will be meticulously organised, with outstanding interpersonal skills, and will have a genuine appreciation for bridal design.
