The Role

The Graduate Project Engineer will be responsible for gaining a key understanding of the plant's operations and machinery, with a strong emphasis on safety. You will be responsible for managing the development of SOPs for the Dandenong can manufacturing site to assist in the creation of risk assessments across the site. This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an overall understanding of the manufacturing plant by observing the production lines and operation of machinery
  • Build technical expertise by completing different reviews of machines and equipment to develop and implement SOP’s or Safety operations.
  • Work with the different departments, including the maintenance and production team members, to understand all machinery across the two lines
  • Assist in the creation of risk assessments for the machinery and plant
  • Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills by working on real business cases, recommending solutions, and discussing your outcomes with our Safety Lead

About You

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to work closely with site team members
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • A  strong interest in safety with the ability to understand risk assessments
