The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Ancillary Equipment Fitter to join the Thiess maintenance crew at Peak Downs. 

Peak Downs is located near Moranbah. Thiess has recently been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full-service mining operations, including mine planning overburden removal, load, and haul.

About The Role

Maintain Ancillary mobile plant equipment together with equipment used for supporting mining operations such as Service Trucks, Tilt Trays, EWPs, Forklifts, Generators, Compressors and Lighting Plants safely and efficiently in line with Thiess and industry standards. Excellent diagnostic and fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills. Ensure good housekeeping standards are always maintained.

Mechanical trade qualification (required) Prior experience with diagnostics and fault-finding skills on mechanical and electrical systems On highway truck experience (desired) Demonstrated experience working on Ancillary equipment including EWPs, forklifts, generators, compressors, lighting plants & medium vehicles. Current Standard 11 Driver’s Licence preferable
