You’ll be  

  • Sorting parcels and mail (manually or machine-assisted) with the use of scanners  
  • Manually loading and unloading mail from mail bags, trays, containers and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices) 
  • Working across sophisticated processing equipment and lines 
  • Operating and using load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers whilst cooperating with operations staff to get the mail into the facility

Role Details: 

  • Morning Shift 7:00am - 11:00am Monday to Friday
  • Mid October Start Date 
  • Adult pay rate starting at $31.85. Some roles may attract penalty rates for overtime, evening and weekend work. Junior Rates apply. 
     

About you

  • You’re available to work from October, through our peak period
  • You enjoy a physical role, can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly, have a great memory and attention to detail 
  • You’re safety-conscious and able to safely operate equipment such as conveyors, loading/lifting devices including pallet jacks to load and unload parcels from trucks and vans  
  • You enjoy a fast paced environment where you can complete compliance checks
  • You’re comfortable handling parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol products

 

How we’ll deliver for you 

  • You'll be allocated a regular shift time, and work with a great bunch of people
  • A higher rate of pay may apply for applicable shift times (penalty rates)
  • You'll benefit from a 12% superannuation rate
  • We may have opportunities for ongoing work beyond the peak season
