Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Podiatrist to join our client's team on a temporary 6-week contract at a regional hospital in South Australia. This part-time role, working 2 days a week, involves providing high-quality podiatric care to patients, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of foot and lower limb conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive podiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for patients with various foot and lower limb conditions.
  • Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualised treatment plans, including surgical, pharmacological, and non-surgical interventions.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on proper foot care, preventative measures, and rehabilitation techniques to promote optimal foot health.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and refer patients to specialists when necessary.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and any follow-up care.
  • Compliance: Ensure all treatments and procedures comply with hospital protocols and healthcare regulations.
  • Infection Control: Adhere to infection control standards to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Podiatry from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in podiatry, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Strong diagnostic skills, excellent patient communication, and the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Must have or have the willingness to Working with Children Check, NDIS workers screening check and National Police clearance
