: There are two Senior Director positions within the Professional Standards Unit (PSU); the occupants of these positions are expected to work collaboratively to achieve the objectives and principal responsibilities of the position, the Public Sector Standards Commissioner (PSSC) and the broader PSU. The Senior Director reports directly to the Executive Branch Manager, PSU.The Senior Director is an integral role for the successful attainment of the PSU’s vision, as we grow capabilities and innovatively strive for continual improvement of processes.
Our ideal Senior Director is an experienced senior leader in a complex service-delivery unit, with a strong focus on delivering quality outcomes. As an innovative yet structured thinker, you will be capable of building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships. You will understand how to link strategy and operations in support of the PSU’s strategic vision and purpose. With a proven track record of fostering a skilled and capable workforce, you will have a strong background in leadership, strategy, policy implementation and service delivery. Most importantly, you will be someone with high integrity who thrives on working in a values-based, stimulating and results-orientated environment.
Leadership, governance, and management experience are essential. A sound knowledge of human resources or conducting investigations is highly desirable for this position.
Eligibility/Other requirements:
Relevant qualifications in leadership/management, law, investigations, human resources, or a related field, are highly desirable. Educational and professional qualifications checks may be undertaken prior to employment. Criminal history checks will be conducted prior to employment. This position does not require a pre-employment medical. This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People Check.Notes : Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
