Job Description
Our client is a leading company in the farming sector. They are currently looking for 75 field workers to work on their farm in Somerville, Victoria, with work commencing in September 2024.
In this role you will be required to operate machinery and harvest vegetables efficiently. You will be working in the field, 7 days a week, where manual harvesting of vegetables is required, therefor you must be fit and strong to handle the labour-intensive position.
You will be employed as a pieceworker with the piecework rate set at $50 per cage. As a piece worker, you will be paid according to your productivity. However, you will be entitled to a minimum hourly rate guarantee, no less than the hourly rate under the Agri Labour Australia Horticulture Agreement 2016 - Level 1, which is $28.26 per hour, at a guaranteed minimum 32 hours of work per week. You will be offered a 9 month contract with potential to upskill.
