What you’ll be doing in this role?

As part of the Paediatric Allied Health Team, the role will involve the provision of services utilising an interdisciplinary model of care as well as the provision of individual speech pathology consultations.

The role involves both centre-based and outreach work, including the assessment, diagnosis, development and management of paediatric clients in partnership with their families, carers and other service providers.

There are many options for growth and development at LCHS as we have speech pathologists working across many different programs including, paediatric allied health, pathways to good health, school readiness program and the autism assessment clinic.

Your work will include:

Working in a multidisciplinary team of allied health and nursing staff Assessment, planning, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement related to the provision of paediatric speech pathology services Using a capacity building model of care to assist parents and/or educators to continue to develop children’s speech and language skills. Up-skilling of other allied health professionals in the core business areas of Speech Pathology Supervision of students and employees in roles graded below yours (grade 2 and above)
