Flinders Park Primary School (PS) is seeking a passionate and hard-working Cleaner to join their team.

Please note that the hours available for this position are in the afternoon, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Additional hours and relief will also be available at times.

About the Role

As Cleaner, you will carry out internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal, and other items of general cleaning. In addition to this, you would also carry out external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, cleaning of drinking troughs, removal of cobwebs, other general cleaning and other duties such as required by the Cleaner In Charge.

The successful applicant should have good communication and interpersonal skills. You should be a highly motivated and proactive person who takes pride in being responsible for providing a high standard of cleanliness within the workplace to provide a visually pleasing and safe learning environment for our students, staff and visitors of the school. The successful applicant should be team focused but able to work independently and with initiative and will ideally be able to follow instructions.

About the school

Flinders Park Primary School is located in the City of Albany, 400 kilometres south of Perth. The school opened in 1978 and caters for kindergarten to year 6. Currently there are 361 students enrolled: with 5% of the population Aboriginal. The school's local intake area is extensive, covering approximately 150 KM’s.
