CNC Machinist

Full-time Permanent CNC Operator role for a well-established CNC Machining, Metal Fabrication Company. Located in the Southwest suburbs of Melbourne. For a CNC Operator or machinist interested in the machining and production of components for blue chip & multinational companies.  

• Requires CNC programming & operating experience
• Salary Guide: $45 - $50 per hour
• Melbourne southwest suburbs

A normal day includes 

• Receiving job instructions from a supervisor at the beginning of each day.
• Perform CNC programming and manual operation of an Okuma LB3000 Lathe.
• Working with precision to meet tight tolerance requirements and ensure product accuracy.
• Completing an average of 1-2 job runs per day, including longer runs spanning multiple days.
• Interpreting engineering drawings effectively.
• Handing over completed products to the dispatch team.
• Maintaining cleanliness and adhering to safety standards in the workspace

  Working hours include 6 AM - 3 PM Monday - Thursday and 6 AM - 12 PM on Fridays with the option of overtime and Saturday work.

You will need 

• Experience in CNC programming and operation.
• Relevant trade qualifications or a Certificate III in Engineering (Fitting and Turning). 
• Proficiency in turning/milling software and high-level computer skills. 
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• A valid work right to work within Australia.
