About the role:

Registered Nurses in our team provide person centred care for residents at Uniting AgeWell, Queenborough Rise, in beautifully scenic Sandy Bay 

  • Deliver high quality nursing skills to residents and support their families, with consideration for cultural, spiritual and individual needs
  • Complex needs require following skillsets -
    • catheter management incl. catheterization
    • palliative care incl. syringe driver management
    • wound management
    • identification and escalation of clinical deterioration
    • strong documentation skills with knowledge of ANACC
  • Promote a harmonious team approach by acting as a role model in coordinating daily routines and adhering to safe practice measures in medication management
  • Monday to Friday options, either afternoon or overnight rosters

About you:

You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents to support them to live life to their potential

  • Current 2024 registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Div1)
  • Experienced as an registered nurse in residential aged care/ home care (desired)
  • Experience with dementia care and palliative care support (desired)
  • Proficiency in decision making, critical analysis and on the spot problem solving
  • Demonstrated abilities to delegate and prioritise in a fast paced environment with exemplary communication skills
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
  • Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working With Vulnerable People card
  • Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations
  • Australian working rights
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance
