About the Role

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will work closely with the business, including senior leaders. You will be expected to foster strong relationships with stakeholders throughout the business to assist the business in meeting their strategic objectives and arrive at commercial solutions, while minimising the legal risk.

DUTIES:

Review and negotiate a range of various commercial contracts and agreements. Draft commercial agreements and legal templates. Provide ad hoc practical and commercial legal advice on a diverse range of operational, regulatory, and employment matters. Assist in managing litigation matters, debt recovery matters, and general dispute resolution. Participate and assist in M&A transactions. Assist, as needed, with company secretarial functions and reporting obligations. Monitor legislative changes and assist with legal compliance training.

WHAT YOU NEED

Admitted to practice law in NSW. Strong contract drafting and contract review skill set as well as a commercial acumen. Interpersonal skills to build relationships and communicate with stakeholders across all levels of the business. The desire to impact, influence, add value, and champion significant legal initiatives.
