We are currently seeking a Specialist MEP Senior Associate Estimator to join our team. This role will provide growth opportunities through client engagement leading to winning of work and project leadership across a variety of multidisciplinary projects, primarily in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing/Piping (MEP)/ Building Services and utilities. Projects will predominantly be in but not limited to Defence, Transport, Infrastructure, Resources and renewables sectors. The right candidate will be able to take on the role of Estimate Manager and be able to undertake client facing responsibilities both during projects, and the development of close ongoing strategic client relationships. Australian Citizenship is preferred for the role and you will be based in one of our major city offices. You will ideally have a Tertiary Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Project Management, and have experience in First Principles Estimating with a passion to: - Be responsible for producing technical deliverables, applying industry experience autonomously with limited guidance. - Work collaboratively with the commercial and project management team, as well as technical leaders, to plan, develop, deliver, and operate a range of multidisciplinary projects. - Recommend changes to current or new directions, ensuring Jacobs is applying the latest technical developments. - Lead the end-to-end estimating process on a project, directing the production of deliverables. - Develop and implement the Project Execution Plan, including verification and review of procedures. - Managing discipline resources and subconsultants. - Mentor and assist in the development of more junior staff within the specialist disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing/Piping and all aspects of Building Services and Utilities. - During the bid phase of projects, be responsible for bid preparation and/or management, running a bid team or providing input to a larger bid team.
