Wood is recruiting a dynamic and result-driven Senior Project Manager based in our Brisbane office. 

Reporting to Operations Director this role will have direct responsibility for delivering a portfolio of brownfield EPC projects through a team of project engineers and managers. The ideal candidate is hands-on and will have had previous experience in managing a project management team to deliver a portfolio of brownfield oil and gas projects in regional Queensland through the FEED and EPC phases. What sets you apart from other candidates, is your extensive experience in directly project managing EPC projects working for a project delivery organisation.

  Working alongside with Brisbane leadership team, you will be contributing to the delivery of sustaining capital EPCm, EPC projects through:  

Leading and driving an EPC team to ensure delivery of project deliverables and resolution of technical issues to budget and schedule.  Managing and coordination of projects, liaising between project functional groups, engineering, procurement, project controls, estimating, HSE, and quality. Assisting the Operations Manager in monitoring the progress and project reporting  Delighting the client and building strong repoire with the client. Ensuring effective utilization of HVEC in delivery of services with the specific aims of ensuring good commercial leverage from HVEC utilization, quality of service delivery is maintained, processes for HVEC are continuously reviewed and improved. Continuous Improvement driving innovative solutions to improve performance / productivity and reduce cost of service for our clients Ensure compliance with the Wood agreed processes and procedures in all aspects of the business. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to identify business growth opportunities. Active participation in business development strategies to expand our presence in the regional area. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes. BEng or equivalent. 15+ years of direct Project Management experience managing EPC or EPCm projects relating to Energy sector. 15+ years as a hands-on Senior Project Manager or Project Delivery Manager working for a delivery contractor is required. Demonstrated supervisory and administration skills necessary to organise and lead a project team, develop design / implementation schedules and provide on-going status reports to the senior management team and clients.  Self-motivated and able to clearly communicate with Client and contractors at all levels.  Good presentation skills.  Good written communication skills Demonstrated commitment to the team Values through leadership and setting the example for: Trust and openness One team approach Respect & professionalism Commitment and accountability Courage Integrity Safety Communication with stakeholders
