About the job:

This is a great opportunity to grow your career as an Investment Analyst within a leading renewable energy company in the Asia-Pacific region. This exciting role comprises a combination of buy-side equity investment and project finance raising, to support the company's growth and commercial objectives. You will be a member of a global team and occasionally be staffed on projects in other countries across the Asia-Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage extensive financial models to evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities, prepare and present qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Contribute to project financing processes, including communication with lenders, management of external DD advisors, terms negotiation, etc.
  • Assist in business development activities such as offtake tendering, project agreement negotiation, market research, etc.
  • Assist in the ongoing management and performance monitoring of operational projects.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or business .
  • Intermediate to advanced abilities in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and problem-solving skills with a strong understanding of financial concepts.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts.
  • Able to multi-task and focus on delivering results.
  • Communication skills and ability to work across a diverse skilled organisation.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with cash flow financial modelling.
  • Experience with structured financing for infrastructure projects.
  • Good knowledge of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and renewable energy sector in Australia.
