Our Team

Our Above Water Systems team designs and engineers commercial and naval ships – as well as providing in-service support capabilities. We’re proud to bolster Australia’s sovereign capability through operational support to our Navy. The role

Opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team based in Darwin. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and information throughout our organisation. You will possess a comprehensive understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and will be well-rounded across all aspects of the supply chain, including demand and supply planning, procurement, buying, and logistics.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Lead the Supply Chain team

  • Lead the Sales & Operations Planning process (S&OP) to align supply with demand.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the supply chain

  • Ensure the efficiency of physical flows and information flows in accordance with business objectives.

  • Support the implementation of Lean processes to drive operational excellence.

  • Manage procurement and production/repair needs to meet customer requirements.

  • Manage supplier performance and cultivate relationships with stakeholders.

  • Ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Consolidate upgrades supply chain architecture.

  • Implement just-in-time systems and supervise operational parties.

  • Develop the skills of the supply chain team to build increased capability and ensure adherence to standards.

Your Experience

  • Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications such as APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) are highly desirable.

  • Proven track record of success in supply chain management roles

  • Experience in a variety of supply chain functions, including demand planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.

  • Experience working within a large international organisation and complex project environment

  • Knowledge of production and repair processes, inventory management, and supply chain methodologies.

  • Experience in continuous improvement, problem-solving, and use of supply chain IT.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to mobilise resources, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
