Overview:
The team is seeking a skilled Contracts Administrator to join in constructing steel sheds. In this role, the Contracts Administrator will play a crucial part in ensuring project success by managing all contractual agreements and documentation. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication are essential for effective collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
As a Contracts Administrator, your responsibilities span over various crucial aspects of project management. You'll meticulously manage and review all contractual agreements and documentation relevant to project delivery. Financial management is key, requiring close collaboration with project teams to control costs and forecast expenses. Efficient subcontractor management will be essential to staying within budgetary constraints and meeting financial targets.
Your role also involves ensuring contractual compliance by analysing tender specifications and contract terms. Your recommendations for amendments will ensure projects remain aligned with regulatory requirements throughout their lifecycle. Effective risk management is vital, and you'll play a key role in identifying and mitigating contract risks and issues.
Collaboration is at the heart of project delivery, and you'll serve as a central point of coordination. Working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders, you'll ensure project requirements are met, deadlines are adhered to, and effective relationships are maintained to foster project success.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or similar relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrable experience in building and construction contract administration, within the Australian context.
  • Strong understanding of Australian contract law and regulations related to building and construction.
  • Proven experience in preparing detailed contracts, managing variations, delays, and contract claims.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, capable of working autonomously and under pressure.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
