Job Description


BESIX Watpac are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join our North QLD construction team delivering the Townsville University Hospital Expansion project. Working in a large collaborative team you will be managing the document management system (Aconex). 

The key responsibilities of this position include:

Proactively drive company safety policies, practices and procedures in compliance with OH&S legislative requirements to provide a safe workplace at all times. Ensure compliance with the Company Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Policies and procedures. Providing general project administration support to the team as required. Managing all incoming and outgoing documents, logging, distribution, filing and archiving of documents and drawings received. Maintaining registers including materials registers, drawing registers and files. Controlling all project documentation using industry-standard systems. Assisting with QA coordination and document control - ensuring records are kept and administered in accordance with the project QA plan. Preparing monthly and other reports as required.

Qualifications


The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

Previous experience within the building and construction industry or a similar industry. Competency in basic administrative and secretarial skills including preparation of general correspondence, filing and document control, minute taking, and office management. Intermediate level of MSWord, MSExcel, MSOutlook and ability and willingness to learn new software packages as required. High level of organisational and time management skills and demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to work effectively and co-operatively within a team environment and demonstrate a positive approach and outlook in the workplace. Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business. Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment.
