What's the role on offer?

Based onsite in our Head Office near Brisbane Airport, this is a new and exciting role working alongside our Stores Supervisor within our Stores Team. As the Senior Stores Officer you will be responsible for the coordination of the daily operations of Brisbane Stores, support logistics for Townsville, Cairns, and the Alliance Distribution Centre, implementation of best practices to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost control, and lead staff to ensure continuous process improvements and excellent service. Some of your task will include but not limited to:

  • Coordinate Brisbane Store operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and alignment with business needs.
  • Support the Supply Chain network to drive high performance and identify system improvements.
  • Oversee staff conduct, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of tasks.
  • Manage and maintain inventory, including stock oversight, ordering, and transfers.
  • Assist with local procurement, Part Sales requests, and Rotable repair management.
  • Develop strong relationships with management, staff, suppliers, and provide training and support as needed.

Who we are looking for:

Our ideal candidate will have experience in Logistics, Warehousing, or Supply Chain, preferably in a senior capacity. You will thrive in a dynamic environment and be eager to contribute to the efficiency and growth of the business. Ideally, you will also have a background in aviation and a Forklift License. As well as:

  • Cert 4 in Warehousing Operations, Logistics, or Workplace Health and Safety is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain, warehousing disciplines, and familiarity with the unique operational challenges of the aviation industry.
  • Proven ability to manage staff effectively, develop and implement processes, and ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong abilities in planning, prioritisation, and collaboration to meet deadlines.
  • Senior-level experience in logistics and warehousing, including staff training, working with suppliers, and handling procurement of goods and services.
  • Skilled in computer-based inventory systems, with experience in system implementation, improvement, and training, ideally within the aviation sector.
