Photographer

The Examiner, servicing Launceston and Northern Tasmania, seeks a talented and enthusiastic photographer to join its daily news team. The Examiner appears in print seven days a week and has a growing audience of digital subscribers who demand quality daily.

Photography is a celebrated part of our offering, so this is an exciting opportunity to join our hard-working, creative team.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

Taking, editing and submitting high-quality photos and videos from multiple assignments each day Generation of ideas that can lead to strong photos and story leads Representing The Examiner at public events with the highest level of professionalism Working to direction from various members of the editorial team

You should have:

Technical skill and creativity through a diverse portfolio Ability to work quickly under pressure and without supervision Ability to file remotely and familiarity with significant photo editing software Negotiation skills and ability to work with a wide variety of people Skills in all aspects of editorial photography, from sport to natural disasters through to studio portraits Must have a driver's licence and clean driving record.
