Role Description/Criteria

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in Croydon is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to join our talented teaching team in the Year 3/4 level. The position will be a full-time contract position for 1 year, commencing 28 January 2025. There is a possibility of ongoing employment. Sacred Heart is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.

Graduate teachers are welcomed and encouraged to apply.

We are seeking a teacher who is committed to working collaboratively with their colleagues to provide a differentiated learning and teaching program that puts each student at the centre of all they do. An understanding of the science of learning as per MACS 2030 Vision for Instruction an advantage.

The successful applicants will need to demonstrate:

  • a strong commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education
  • the ability to develop relationships with parents, staff and students
  • an understanding of current curriculum documents and contemporary teaching and learning practices
  • an ability to provide learning experiences that are cognitively engaging, to a range of learning styles and abilities
  • an ability to use data and assessment tools to improve student learning outcomes
  • the ability to work as a team
  • an ability to use digital technologies to enhance the learning for the students

The successful candidates:

  • require VIT registration (full, provisional or meet the conditions for provisional registration for those completing courses awaiting transcripts)
  • should have, be undertaking or intend to undertake RE Accreditation.
