Perisher is actively seeking a safety-conscious, dedicated, and qualified individual to become an integral part of our Civil and Building team as a Plumber. This position, involves the primary responsibility of operating and maintaining the Sewerage Treatment plant. You will also support the Civil & Building Department by performing maintenance plumbing and other various activities within the Civil and Building department.
Reporting directly to the Civil and Building Manager, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting environmental sustainability efforts. In a typical day in this role, you might:
Perform plumbing duties and handyman maintenance tasks. Responsible for the efficient and effective operation and maintenance of the Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) (including outside normal hours). Collect sewage samples and conducts laboratory tests. Operate and maintain power generating equipment to provide steam and electricity for plant.NB: During the winter season, the on-call schedule is in effect, and the winter roster operates on a set 5-day schedule. This may include one weekend day per week.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
Trade qualification in plumbing Certificate III in Water Industry Operations &/or Waste Water Treatment or willing to obtain Current Confined Space Entry Training and prior experience preferred Current unrestricted drivers licenceAs part of our team, you will be expected to:
