Maintenance Electrician

About the Role
Assists the Maintenance Supervisor to provide a quality, cost effective maintenance function to the Department’s clients. Position involves the maintenance of all electrical-related services in a large health care facility with a diverse range of buildings.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance of electrical items including but not limited to: General items, electrical plant and appliances, including HV switchgear and controlsFault finding / trouble shooting electronic equipment, including programmable logic controllers and plant.HVACNurse call system and duress controllersTake part in afternoon and on-call rosters.

Skills & Experience

Qualifications

Demonstrated several years of electrical experience with respective trade qualification, in a commercial environment.

Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills

Must have successfully completed an electrical apprenticeship plus have five years post apprenticeship experience in commercial and industrial workplaces.Must have an ‘A’ class electrical licence.Experience in the fault finding and maintenance of engineering equipment and preventative maintenance routines.Well-developed interpersonal skills (able to communicate clearly at a range of levels).Ability to work effectively in a team and individually.Demonstrate high level of initiative and the ability to adjust to changing work commitments.Able to demonstrate flexibility, to adjust to changing work commitments.

The following will be highly regarded:

Experience in the maintenance of electrical services in a large building environment.HV operator’s licence.Current driver’s licence.
