Your Venue - Monster Kitchen and Bar 

The Monster is an herbivore. 

Canberra’s only refined vegetarian dining experience, Monster Kitchen and Bar, has a deep respect for locally sourced and seasonal ingredients landing an exciting set of fresh ideas with conscious consumption at the forefront. Monster Bar offers an elevated cocktail experience created with modern techniques using a selection of seasonal fruits and vegetables, ever-changing to highlight the season. Implementing our very own twist on the most iconic cocktails you’d only find in the best hotel bars around the world.

The Gig

Reporting to the Food and Beverage General Manager, you will play a vital role within the venue, providing the highest level of service and supporting the team to achieve outstanding performance. This is a Casual role and will require flexibility within you availability. As our newest Food & Beverage Attendant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist guests with entire dining experience from greeting them, seating them, taking orders and keeping them happy at all times by anticipating all there needs
  • Familiarise yourself with restaurant products and services including full knowledge of menus, wine lists and other beverages
  • Ensure you are aware of all dietary requirements to provide guests with the most accurate information about menu offerings
  • Demonstrate high levels of service and prompt, efficient and polite responses to all requests
  • Encourage feedback from our guests, to update and maintain guest history records, enabling us to anticipate the needs of our guests
  • Demonstrate a good knowledge of the local area and continually update knowledge of the latest trends
  • Be pro-active in your approach to the job and work within the specific standards and procedures. (e.g. introduce yourself to guests, use their name and interact on a personalised basis)

About you

At Ovolo, we are all about YOU. We provide a fun and exciting environment and all we ask is that you give us your dedication to our brand and most importantly, your team You're a hard-working individual that's not scared to jump in and help where needed. Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a find dining environment, with knowledge of restaurant and/or hotel operations, however if you come with the right attitude, the rest is simple You will have a valid RSA or willing to get one prior to starting. We require you to provide flexibility within your availability and willing to work various shifts including mornings, nights & weekends. You will have good communications skills and have the ability to remain calm and professional within a fast-paced environment.
