CNC Machinist

About the Role:
Our client is a successful family-owned Gold Coast manufacturing business supplying products to the mining industry across Australia and overseas. As an established brand, they have a strong reputation as a market leader that prides itself on delivering reliable and quality products backed up with excellent customer support.

As part of their ongoing strategic growth plans, they are now seeking a self- motivated experienced CNC Machinist to join their workshop team.  You be operating their brand new, latest technology Mazak e-500H Intergrex multifunction CNC machine and Okuma LB3000 CNC lathe, along with their existing Okuma CNC mill and lathe equipment, working out of in their newly purpose built machine shop.

Duties:

• Strip, measure inspect, assemble & test hydraulic cylinder components
• Conduct testing, assemble hydraulic cylinders with cleanliness & care
• Lathe work, turn up cylinder shafts, pistons, glands, barrels, fittings 
• Keep workshop in a tidy and respectable condition
• Demonstrate a high quality of workmanship, and attention to detail
• Ensure adherence to company OH&S policies and procedures

Skills and Experience:

• Be a trade qualified fitter (or equivalent) 
• Experienced in Hydraulic Cylinders and components an advantage
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and follow instructions and work procedures
• Be physically capable to perform repetitive tasks, lifting, bending, twisting
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Have a strong commitment to work place health & safety
• Forklift Licence or the ability to obtain a licence
• MUST have full Australian Working Rights
