Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop based in Mount Wellington, Auckland.

You will be responsible for completing the service, repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles and mobile plant to help deliver work for our customers safely on time, within budget, to the highest quality standard.

In addition to the above you will:

  • Service and repair vehicles and plant while following correct repair procedure

  • Report all failure/ breakdowns/ causes to the supervisor

  • Attend to Night Shift Breakdowns across the Akl Region when required and Workshop planned repairs and maintenance.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Trade qualification or other relevant NZQA for the role.

  • Current class 1 to class 5 licence.

  • Knowledge of machines, materials and tools, used for repairs and maintenance

  • Equipment selection – determining the tools and equipment needed to do the job

  • Good industry knowledge
