The Boeing MQ-28 “Ghost Bat” is an autonomous military aircraft being designed, engineered and manufactured in Australia. MQ-28 “Ghost Bat” is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities. As we continue to accelerate the development and expand the aircraft flight envelope through the test program, we are seeking the very best talent from a diverse range of backgrounds to help grow and contribute to our innovative team.

The team to deliver the MQ-28 manufacturing facility will be expanding Boeing’s Australian Information Technology and Data Analytics capability. The seamless integration of IT systems and the physical processes carried out in the factory will be a major contributor to MQ-28 program’s long-term success.

Boeing are looking for Full Stack Developers to join our team supporting the cutting edge MQ-28 program. In this role you will gain and expand your knowledge of manufacturing systems through developing an end-to-end understanding of the production process and operations for the MQ-28 program. You will then apply this knowledge to implement Digital and IT solutions for the establishment and ongoing execution of the future full rate MQ-28 production facility which is located in Toowoomba. These roles will be based at Wellcamp Airport, Toowoomba, Queensland but could be open to Brisbane for the right applicant.

As a Full Stack Developer in support of the MQ-28 program, you will have opportunities to:

Design, develop, test and deploy changes to software in accordance with established standards Support the manufacturing production solutions lead with end to end solutions for manufacturing production processes Ensure compliance of manufacturing production solutions software with Information Technology and Data Analytics compliance requirements Perform troubleshooting of operational and integration issues Monitor and analyse performance data Assist with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met Assist in creation of estimates, plans, schedules and corrective actions Support software project management and software supplier management functions Develop new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve end user satisfaction

Education

Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in a computer, mechatronics, engineering or quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, data science, artificial intelligence, computer science, mathematics) desirable but not essential.

To be successful in this role, you will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment and have:

4+ years of relevant work experience in software development and delivery if no degree Experience with programming languages & database tools such as Python, C#, .Net, ASP.Net, SQL, PL/SQL, DevOps & cloud-native technologies; Containerization, CI/CD, microservices along with implementing and consuming REST APIs Experience with industrial systems administration and/or Operational Technology (OT) system administration Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with strong organizational and planning skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional and global enterprise teams Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Commitment to continuous improvement and Boeing's core values of safety, quality, and integrity Good understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript &general manufacturing processes and operations Exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments with ability to relate to stakeholders at all levels
