Weekend Mechanical Tradesperson

Reporting through to the Workshop Manager, the Mechanical Tradesperson role is responsible for the repair and maintenance of our underground heavy machinery, mobile plant and equipment to achieve maximum equipment availability and productive life through preventative maintenance and quality repairs.
The successful candidate will be required to work the weekend shift Friday to Sunday, 12-hour shifts. Pentalty rates will apply on Saturday and Sunday.
Requirements of the role:
Cert III in Engineering Mechanical Trade OR Cert III in Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent) in a relevant field (essential) Previous experience with repairing underground mobile plant OR previous experience with repairing opencut mining mobile plant (essential) Explosion Protected Diesel Engine Systems Maintenance (DES) Certificate (essential) Minimum of 12 months’ post trade experience Current driver's license A good work ethic and positive safety attitude
To succeed in this role:
Demonstrate a commitment to our goal of Zero Harm Have previous experience with performing component change out and repairs Have strong fault-finding capabilities/diagnosis skills Adhere to all site safety standards and requirements; and Completion of pre-starts, care and maintenance of vehicles
