We are supporting a federal government agency at the forefront of cybersecurity. As part of Australia’s law enforcement agencies, they play a crucial role in protecting the nation from cyber threats with a total commitment to keeping Australians safe.  

The Opportunity

This is a role for an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to make a significant impact within the agency. As part of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) Command, you’ll be entrusted with conducting comprehensive cyber security risk assessments, developing security documentation and ensuring the agency’s systems meet cyber security standards. You’ll have the chance to contribute to high-profile ICT programs and projects, providing expert advice and support while advancing your career in a challenging and rewarding environment.

The Role

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you’ll be responsible for evaluating potential risks, threats and vulnerabilities to the agency’s systems. Your duties will include developing security documentation, providing advisory services to ICT programs and projects and undertaking security design reviews. Working collaboratively with internal teams, you’ll play a key role in enhancing the cyber security posture and ensuring compliance with industry standards and frameworks.

The Ideal Person

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years experience as an information or cyber security specialist, with a strong exposure working in Azure cloud environments. You have a proven track record in end-to-end technology solution designs, with proficiency in the Essential 8 with experience in legacy It systems. You possess strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ideally, you have a security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Salary / Rate

$130 – $150/hr including super 12 month contract with 12 months extension
