Position Description

  • Our client is seeking a Financial Accounting Consolidation Specialist to join the Controllers organization within the Finance, Strategy & Development business line.
  • The Controllers organization serves as the primary representative for financial and income tax reporting to management and the government.
  • Additionally, the organization manages the General Ledger, Fixed Asset records, and supporting documents.

Location: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia (Full Relocation Package)

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a graduate degree being desirable.
  • Possess professional certifications such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or CMA, along with relevant ongoing education.
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with expertise in financial statement consolidation, analysis, preparation, accounting research, and related areas.
  • Experience in energy-related activities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate business integration is advantageous.
  • Extensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and familiarity with accounting policies in the oil and gas industry is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written, is necessary.
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems is highly desirable.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consolidate financial data, including from the Company, subsidiaries, and joint venture entities.
  • Review and prepare financial statements.
  • Research accounting literature to address current issues involving accounting and financial reporting.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on consolidation matters.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with auditors and provide support for audit/review of consolidated financial statements.
  • Offer financial expertise to subsidiaries and joint ventures.
  • Provide support for M&A integration from a financial standpoint.
  • Provide ad hoc financial support as required.
