THE OPPORTUNITY

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Forklift Loader/Packer to join the operations team based at Gepps Cross ensuring trucks, as well as customer vehicles are loaded and unloaded in a safe and timely manner with no damage. 

This is a permanent full-time opportunity working Dayshift (8:00am to 4:06pm) with overtime optional.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Print vehicle load sheets and locate finished goods
  • Plan the load and placement onto delivery trucks
  • Pick and pack products / accessories 
  • Maintain stock records and stock movements via scanners
  • General housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and organised work area
  • Move stock and finished goods around the warehouse safely
  • Collaborate with team members, other departments and projects
  • Participate in training in the use of specific items of plant and equipment
  • Strict adherence to our critical safety rules & contributing to a safe working environment

ABOUT YOU

  • Essential – Extensive experience driving forklifts and navigating large loads
  • Essential – Forklift License and SA Drivers license
  • Essential – Strength and fitness to undertake a frequent movement and lifting role
  • Effective problem solver who can develop solutions that meet the customers’ needs
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Sound awareness of safety standards and alertness of moving parts & people
  • Willingness to enhance the customer experience by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace
  • Whilst experience is great, it’ll be your passion, reliable attitude and personality that set you apart
