We are looking for experienced Truck Drivers with HR, HC or MC licenses to fill vacancies as they arise throughout the refrigeration and dry transport divisions of SCT Logistics in Perth. 

These roles range from casual positions to assist during increased demand and periods of leave, full time positions delivering precious cargo to our customers and everything in between

Job Description

Reporting to the Fleet Controller, the position includes the following responsibilities: 

• Delivery of SCT Trailers & Containers to metro DC’s - on and off the loading docks.
• Movement of containers, trailers around the yard as required.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections, maintain a daily truck log and record of customer deliveries and pickups.
• Sort delivery run sheets and Proof of Delivery paperwork.
• Restrain loads as per the National Load Restraint Guide.
• Check accuracy of Palletised and packed loads.
• Ensure compliance with all SCT Company Safety policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation
• Operate MT DATA or similar Fleet Management system.
• Provide a high level of customer service to our valued customers

No two days are the same at SCT, and our casual truck drivers may be used across both refrigeration and dry warehouse operations, and for AM or PM shifts.

Desired Skills and Experience 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• HR, HC or MC Truck Driving License
• Current Commercial Vehicle Driver Medical
• Fatigue regulations certificate.
• Traffic Infringement Report
• 2+ years commercial driving experience in metro areas
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical & fitness assessment
• Physically fit to be pulling curtains, strapping loads and other manual tasks
• Ability to prioritize assigned tasks in real time and adapt to changing requirements
• Competent at reversing & trailing hitching/unhitching on finger docks.
• Safe vehicle operations
