Are you an experienced Domestic Assistant with exceptional relationship-building skills and a passion for helping people improve their quality of life? 

About the role

As a Domestic Assistant you will provide pro-active and person centred domestic services and support to assist clients to remain living in their own homes.

Duties in this role include but are not limited to:

dusting and polishing of furniture mopping, sweeping and vacuuming of floors, removal of rubbish cleaning bathrooms and toilets laundry services including distribution of clean laundry/ personal
attire bed making

You will build relationships with our clients helping to understand their individual needs, goals and aspirations. You will also promote and enable our healthy and active ageing approach.

A motor vehicle allowance is also payable for travel between clients.

About you

We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

previous experience in a domestic assistant role that didn’t have direct supervision current and unrestricted driver’s licence & own registered and insured car first Aid certificate ability to organise own workload and to complete tasks within the time allocated impressive interpersonal and relationship-building skills a good level of English literacy including the ability to read written instructions and speak in a manner that older people can understand a basic understanding of the requirements to support clients living with dementia including those who display challenging behaviours a basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards as are applicable to the role
